To proceed with the purchase of a knight bearing your own
personal Coat of Arms or that of your Clan Chief is to
commission a future family heirloom, one that will be handed
down through later generations. Each knight is unique, no
two are ever the exactly the same; even ones bearing the
same blazoning, as each knight will reflect individual
characteristics in their painting.
Ordering a personalised knight is a simple two-step process
Step 1
The process begins with you sending us an image of your Coat
of Arms or that of your Clan Chief. If you are unsure of
your Chief's coat of arms please
Contact Us via email with the 'name of the Clan'
or 'Sept name' and we will find the relevant Arms for you.
We appreciate that in parts of Europe whole families may
bear the same Coat of Arms undifferenced.
Step 2
Once the Arms design for the Shield, livery colours for the
surcoat and plaque inscription (see below) have been agreed
and you are ready to proceed with a commission, it is a simple
matter of contacting us by e-mail. Once a commission is
received, we reply with a confirmation email together with
an invoice via Paypal, the secure on-line payment
system. On receipt of payment we will then proceed with the
commission. (Please note that you do not have to be a PayPal
member to place an order. PayPal will accept direct credit
card transactions from non-members) Alternatively we will
accept Cheques in UK Pounds, or payment by Bank
Transfer please advise us by
email which payment method you prefer.
It is that simple!
Hand painted Arms on Shield (by Quotation)
The Arms on the Shield are meticulously painted in minute
detail by one of our artists. Due to the varying degrees of
complexity of the different coats of arms the cost of this
option is by quotation only.
Image Transfer (Fixed price £175.00)
Alternatively the Arms on the Shield can be produced using
an image transfer process, which, we have perfected for our
figures. Using this technique allows us to quote a fixed
price for a figure, irrespective the complexity of the
shield arms as we can reproduce it exactly.
The main body of the knight, including the armour and base,
are still entirely hand painted. The image transfer
technique is a popular process among craft and pottery
companies and is used by many famous brand names to decorate
their pieces.
Creation of unique bespoke
figures. (by Quotation)
We can also create bespoke figures and other
personalised heraldic items
and Scottish Clan sculptures please
contact us with any requirements you may have.
Additional Information
As each knight is individually produced to order, from
receiving your order to postage/dispatch from the UK
normally takes 4 to 5 weeks. However, if you have a deadline
for a special occasion we will do our best to accommodate
you.
The knight rests on a veneered mahogany base with a plaque;
measuring 2 ¾ x ¾ inches (65 x 19 mm) and is engraved with
the surname applicable to the coat of arms. However this can be
amended with the plaque size slightly enlarged to suit any
inscription for any special occasion.
The finished knight is then placed in its presentation box
with its certificate of authenticity and securely encased in
a protective covering ready for postage.
We offer Free Shipping Worldwide on all commissions and your
order will be shipped fully insured with a major recognised
courier company. You will be notified in advance of the
shipping date, the carrier and the anticipated delivery
date. Should the expected delivery date prove inconvenient,
please notify us at once, together with alternative dates
convenient to you.
Should you, for what ever reason, be unhappy with the end
product, please notify us immediately so that we can resolve
the matter to your complete satisfaction.
