Gauntlets 

The Gauntlets are one third actual size and without any of the optional attachments, are 8 inches tall and are available clutching a miniature shield or targe. 

The Shield 

The shield is of metal construction with wood on the reverse and is 5 inches high by 3 inches wide (127 mm x 75 mm). The shield emblem is created using a sublimation printing technique. With this technique we can reproduce any: arms, crest, image or logo onto the metal shield.

Hand Painted Shields: price on application. 

The Targe 

The targe is 5 inches in diameter (127 mm) made of wood with a metal rim around the outside with brass studding.  As with the targe in our highlander bust collection, The Targe is covered in a clan tartan of your choice with the relevant clan crest/badge affixed in the centre.. 

In both options a plaque is fitted to the base with your choice of inscription. Overall the figures with the miniature targe or shield are some 8 inches tall and weighs 1 lbs 8 ozs,(203 mm .7 kilos) .

Gauntlet & Shield, Duncan of Sketraw

The inscription on the base plaques of the examples shown are: Duncan of Sketraw on the base plaque of the gauntlet and shield and Clan Duncan on the base plaque of the gauntlet and Targe.

Either item can be personalised to suit your individual requirements.

The Gauntlet is decorated at the base and as you can see has a relief of Wolfs head with laurel leaf and Dove insignias. The wolfs head is highlighted in gold leaf and the doves in silver leaf 

The gauntlets, as are all our castings, produced from an original commissioned sculpture and cast in polyester resin using vacuum processing. 

As with all our figures, each piece is custom made to order, therefore no two will be ever exactly the same.

Every piece is individually cast by skilled craftsmen, hand finished and hand painted by talented artists using a variety of techniques.
